This is a great opportunity to meet hiring managers from our Cary, Raleigh, and North Raleigh Respiratory Care Service Units!
Respiratory Care Assistant:
The Respiratory Care Assistant (RCA) is enrolled in a recognized Respiratory Care Program that have been approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care. Respiratory Care Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner (RCP). The RCA will be competent and perform the following respiratory care procedures: oxygen supply systems equipment processing manual resuscitation oxygen administration humidity and aerosol therapy small volume nebulizer therapy MDI administration incentive spirometry non-invasive mechanical airway clearance therapy chest physiotherapy with suctioning arterial puncture electrocardiogram (if performed by hiring institute) and patient reporting.
Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist:
The Respiratory Therapist provides airway management administration of nebulized medications secretion management and application of oxygen therapy within the scope of practice under physician orders. Patient populations consist of adult, pediatric and/or neonatal patients. The Therapist plans implements and evaluates effectiveness of therapy with communication to physician and health care team.
Experience Requirements:
Respiratory Care Assistant: Training Clinical - Respiratory Therapy Required
Respiratory Therapist: 1 Year Clinical - Respiratory Therapy Preferred
Education Required:
Respiratory Care Assistant: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - And College Courses Respiratory Therapy Required
Respiratory Therapist:Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy Required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Respiratory Care Assistant: Respiratory Care Assistant Required - And Basic Life Support Required - And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Required - And Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
Respiratory Therapist: Registered Respiratory Therapist Required - And NC Respiratory Care Practitioner Required - And Basic Life Support Required - And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Required
