Position Information:
The Supervisor Financial Clearance works under the direction of the Financial Clearance Manager and has enterprise-wide responsibility for the day-to-day operations of Insurance Verification and Preadmissions. Insurance Verification is responsible for verification of eligibility benefits and authorization requirements. Creates estimates and prepares accounts for collection of payments by assigned staff. Preadmissions is responsible for CMS compliance on all scheduled surgical and cath lab patients and elective admissions. The Supervisor responsibilities include: interviewing hiring scheduling performance evaluations quality reviews time and attendance reconciliation staff education coaching development support and promotion of customer relations monitoring of unit activities to ensure performance standards are achieved and maintenance of relationships with other units within the Patient Access and Patient Financial Services departments. The Supervisor serves as a liaison for the community physician offices and payers. The Supervisor participates in projects and programs to reduce errors and improve safety and acts as an advocate for the patient physician and hospital relative to compliance with federal state and third-party utilization management regulatory requirements. The Supervisor identifies opportunities to improve operational workflow.
Experience Requirements:
3 Years Related Position Experience Required - And 1 Year Leadership Preferred 5 Years Related Position Experience In Lieu of Degree

Associate's Degree Related Field Required
