Position Information:
The Respiratory Care Assistant (RCA) is enrolled in a recognized Respiratory Care Program that have been approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care. Respiratory Care Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner (RCP). The RCA will be competent and perform the following respiratory care procedures: oxygen supply systems equipment processing manual resuscitation oxygen administration humidity and aerosol therapy small volume nebulizer therapy MDI administration incentive spirometry non-invasive mechanical airway clearance therapy chest physiotherapy with suctioning arterial puncture electrocardiogram (if performed by hiring institute) and patient reporting.
Experience Requirements:
Training Clinical - Respiratory Therapy Required
Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - And College Courses Respiratory Therapy Required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Respiratory Care Assistant Required - And Basic Life Support Required - And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Required - And Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
