Position Information:
WakeMed Physician Practices is a multi-specialty group with over 450 physicians in a variety of specialty areas. Our organization places a high value on quality, caring and compassionate physicians and we are committed to providing state-of-the-art health care to our patients and the community we serve.
WakeMed is seeking a fellowship trained (in breast surgery or surgical oncology) Breast Surgeon to join our expanding division in the Raleigh North Carolina area. The primary role of this position will be to help the division provide clinical & surgical services related to the diagnosis, treatment and cure of breast cancer and benign breast disease to the residents of Wake County. Position will be based in Cary or North Raleigh with some cross coverage between both offices. This is a 100% breast focus opportunity with no general surgery call.
With multiple locations throughout the area, our surgical teams provide a wide range of care, including physicians who specialize in general surgery and trauma services as well as a wide range of surgical specialists including ENT, GI, Gynecology, Cardiovascular& Thoracic, Pediatrics, Orthopaedics, Urologic, Bariatrics & Weight Loss.
We offer the very latest in surgical procedures and technologies, including robotic surgery and minimally invasive techniques and have a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. This position reports to the Director of Surgery and supports the mission, values,and management of WPP. Qualified candidates must be currently Board Certified or Board Eligible by an American Medical Specialty Board in Surgery.
