Position Information:
The Director's primary role is to provide leadership in the development implementation and dissemination of research & practice strategies that are evidence-based. The Director assists the Senior Vice President & CNO shared decision-making leaders and clinicians clinical nurse specialists specialty program specialists and other key stakeholders in promoting efficient and effective nursing practice and safe compassionate expert patient care. In addition the Director promotes an environment that encourages WakeMed nurses to pose and answer critical nursing questions the outcome of which is innovative nursing practice. This expert will role model value of EBP and research possess superior skills and knowledge for data management question and design and exploration of study. Essential duties: Departmental Strategic Planning & Performance; Nursing Practice & Innovation; Nursing Leadership & Mentorship; Editor and Researcher. The Director of Nursing Research & Evidence Based Practice is accountable to the Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer.

Experience Requirements:
10 Years Nursing - Related Area Required - And 5 Years Nursing - Research Required

PhD Nursing Required - Or PhD Education Required
