Hyperbaric Specialist
About WakeMed:
Position Information:
The Hyperbaric Specialist is responsible for the day to day operations of the hyperbaric oxygen chambers. This includes all the relevant maintenance cleaning and record keeping necessary for the safe and effective operation of the chambers. The Hyperbaric Specialist prepares patients for treatments monitors patients while they are in the chamber under the orders and direction of the Hyperbaric Oxygen Physician and Wound Care management. The Hyperbaric Specialist is the designated hyperbaric oxygen chamber safety officer and also provides clinical care with in the scope of their licensure.
Experience Requirements:
1 Year Clinical - Hyperbaric or Diving Medical Technician Preferred
Education Required:
Associate's Degree Physical Therapy Or Emergency Medical Science Or Respiratory Therapy Or Nursing Or Related Field Required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Certified/Licensed/Registered in Field of Practice Required - And Certified Hyperbaric Technologist Required - Within 1 Year of Hire
Hours of Work:
M-F, 6:30-3:00
Weekend Requirements:
As Needed
