Position Information:
The Financial Specialist, Sr. position is responsible for preparing the WakeMed and group Form 990 informational returns and for tax research including determination of UBI. Responsible for the accounting for Malpractice, Workers' Compensation, Pension Expense and Medical Self-Insurance for WakeMed. This position functions as lead specialist for accounting reconciliations, journal entries, month-end analysis and financial package preparation. Responsible for annual inventory process, including collecting test count sheets, recording annual and monthly adjustments, and preparing variance analysis. Assists management with projects and special assignments as requested.
Experience Requirements:
5 Years Accounting/Finance - Accounting and Financial Reporting And Accounting/Finance - Financial Analysis And Non-Profit And Accounting/Finance - Accounting and Financial Analysis And Accounting/Finance - Budget Preparation Required
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree Accounting Or Business Administration With College Courses Accounting Required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Certified Public Accountant Preferred
Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Weekend Requirements:
No Weekends
